Northern Rivers announces the following organizational policy, adopted August 11, 2017. This policy replaces any and all previous policies on media responses:

RM 29: Responding to the Media: Northern Rivers understands the importance of establishing and maintaining an open and honest working relationship with the media. However, that need must be balanced with the responsibility of protecting the privacy and preserving the dignity of those we serve. This policy clarifies approved procedures for dealing with all media inquiries.

New office opens in Clifton Park

This office will be home to Bridges to Health and Home- and Community-Based Waiver staff serving Saratoga County, along with two staff from our new adoption Permanency Resource Center program in our Residential and Foster Care Services division. GoToMeeting Available for All Users

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve efficiency throughout the organization, we are pleased to announce the availability of a GoToMeeting “Virtual Conference Room,” for all users. This powerful tool allows users to host and participate in virtual meetings with full audio, visual screen sharing and chat capabilities.

Employee Referral Program 3rd Quarter

The following is sent on behalf of Molly Daniels, Director of Human Resources:

Do you know someone who would be a good fit for our organization? It could make you up to $500! Northern Rivers is pleased to present our new Employee Referral Program, which became effective April 1. Each quarter, Human Resources will designate specific positions that qualify for the referral program. We will select these positions based on jobs that are hard to fill or where there is a significant hiring need. More details on the program are attached.

Update on Computer Security and Support

The following is sent on behalf of Paul Stamas, Chief Information Officer:

The IT team has implemented new tools and processes to enhance the protection of our computer systems and level of service desk support.  We are updating computer systems more regularly with required security updates and patches.  A new set of tools have been implemented to manage security updates on computers to include improved anti-virus software (WebRoot) and remote support software (TeamViewer).
